Vita Gottlieb is a textile designer, artist and entrepreneur who lives and works in London & Bali. Specialising in digital print and constructed textiles with a sculptural and architectural framework, Gottlieb works on bespoke garments, one-off pieces, commissions and consultancy. She also writes, photographs and draws. A cinephile who loves tropical rain, imaginary creatures and the smell of a forest, Gottlieb is drawn to subplots, nature's intricate pattern, dynamic challenges and hidden folds; a questioning provocateur in a state of constant wanderlust.
Never without a novel, a notebook, pencils and a camera, when travelling she writes and takes photographs of texture, blazing adventurers and magic-hour landscape. Curiosity is in her blood. What really gets her going is the scent of adventure; the weird and intricate, the poetic and magical, the misfit and the pioneer.
In London Gottlieb owns a textile design & consultancy studio and an eponymous womenswear label which is season-less and customised. They undertake bespoke commissions for artists, brands and private clients globally. In Bali Gottlieb is developing Land & Wild, a creative adventure travel luggage label to be launched in 2017; and planning on her ultimate eco-bespoke anarchic retreat for lost dreamers and secret souls.
